75% of the crafts revenue provide the much needed income to the families living near Queen Elizabeth National park, enabling them to pay school fees, medical care, clothing and food for their children. Every craft is unique made at a local home and delivered on order. Crafts production and tourism is an alternative source of income as most crops are commonly raided by wildlife. If you buy our crafts products from our onsite shop or online, you will be supported conservation.
When you stay at the elephant home campsite, you will experience a high level of hospitality with services that are reasonably priced. Join the locals to explore, off the beaten track as you witness the culture and wildlife of this area.
Select from accommodations options that including, self-contained twin rooms, none self-contained cabins and camping. We offer a long list of community activities that you can do without paying park entrance fees but we also provide support or information on doing all park wildlife activities.
The camp is neighboring Queen Elizabeth national park, 22km from Kasese, on Fort portal – Mpondwe road, a location that gives easy access to the park activities or during arrival by public or private transport.
